Case study | Workplace reconfiguration
A smaller footprint. Existing assets. One coordinated move.
ASI connected furniture reuse, assigned removals and a coordinated installation return for Stantec’s downsize-in-place workplace project.

Overview
Stantec was reducing its Hauppauge office footprint while retaining and reusing existing furniture. The work needed to separate removals from reinstallations and align the return with the construction team’s progress.
ASI approach
ASI surveyed the existing furniture, coordinated teardown and assigned removals, retained reusable assets and returned for installation. Field leadership connected the latest client layout with crews, local support and the service interfaces associated with furniture work.
Result
Reused workstations, private-office pieces and reception furniture supported the retained workplace arrangement. Excess items were removed, and the return installation was coordinated through one accountable partner.
Spatial context
The revised layout guided the work.
These sanitized excerpts show the existing workstation arrangement and the intended reconfigured layout. They document planning context, not a certified as-built condition.
The ASI delivery model
Two phases. One assignment.
Start with existing assets
Survey and inventory furniture, review the client layout and coordinate the work sequence.
Separate reuse from removal
Disassemble assigned furniture, retain components for reuse and remove excess items with trucking and disposal support.
Coordinate the field interfaces
Manage base-feed and workstation-cable interfaces associated with teardown and reinstallation.
Carry layout changes into the field
Coordinate a client-approved workstation orientation adjustment with the installation crew.
Return for installation
Reconfigure retained furniture, set private-office and reception arrangements and close out assigned field work.
The outcome
A reconfigured workplace.
ASI linked the removal phase and return installation while retaining existing workstations and office furniture for the revised arrangement.
Authentic project photographs
